The Keepsake Vessel is a smaller handmade ceramic vessel created to hold a portion of ashes. Families sometimes choose to share ashes between those closest to them, while others may wish to keep a small amount after scattering or burial.
The Keepsake Vessel offers a simple and beautiful way of keeping that small part of someone close.
Each piece is individually made by hand in my Belfast studio. Subtle variations in its form, surface and glaze are part of the making, meaning no two will ever be exactly alike.
It is deliberately designed not to look like a traditional urn. Sitting on a shelf, mantelpiece or somewhere special within the home, it is simply a small piece of handmade pottery. Its purpose can remain entirely private.
