Now, about the AI element. While every piece begins with a memory or sketch, this collection openly and playfully experiments with AI as part of the creative process, just to see what happens. Some of the slightly absurd results are part of the fun. Take “Slaying It” for example: a memory of sliding down a bank in Armagh on cardboard as a child, but with a girl sporting three arms, AI thought this was right, and I thought it was hilarious.

I've received a bit of kick back on this collection, and the use of AI in it, I would suggest that as a maker, it’s my right to explore and experiment using whatever tools are at my disposal. AI is a modern tool, and for this collection, it’s simply a playful part of the process. Not everyone has to like it, and that’s perfectly fine.

Our BELFAST delft designs take inspiration from 17th Century Dutch Delftware, itself inspired by centuries old Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain. Each tile begins with a memory, a moment from childhood or recent history, and is brought to life with craft, imagination, and playful AI experimentation.

Available in two sizes, each tile includes its own easel - ohh, and some designs are also part of our Bone China collection. These pieces are playful, reflective, and experimental, visual stories meant to spark nostalgia, laughter, and curiosity.
