For a Little Life

I can only imagine the depth of grief and pain that comes with the loss of a baby or child. Because of that, this is not something I feel should simply be chosen from a page and added to a basket.

I would rather make a piece in my studio, personally, for the family.

These Little Life Vessels are made individually, with a simple, gentle form and a soft crackled glaze.

They do not have to hold ashes. They can simply be a place for the small things that become incredibly precious, a hospital wristband, a lock of hair, a little note or photograph, fragments of a time and a life you want to keep close.

If you would like, a name, date or other small detail can be incorporated discreetly into the piece.

There is no collection to choose from. Instead, we can have a private conversation about what might feel right.

It would be an honour to make it.
